Benefits of Computer Glasses
The world today revolves around computers, be it at work, or for creating a school assignment, or even playing games on it. Today’s life is not complete without a computer. CVS is caused because our eyes and brain react differently to characters on a computer screen as characters on a computer screen don’t have the same degree of contrast and definition as that of printed characters.
To overcome CVS, computer glasses are recommended by experts. Computer glasses are prescription glasses that have been designed to be worn while working on a computer. These glasses help the wearer to focus their vision on a computer screen in the same manner as on printed material and thus they reduce the strain caused to the eyes while working for long hours on a computer. These glasses also eliminate the constant refocusing effort the eyes have to go through when viewing the screen. Also, it has been proven clinically that having the correct prescription in computer eyeglasses increases productivity and accuracy. So, with computer eye glasses, you can read and work on your computer for a long time, without getting your eyes tired.

However, there is a big difference between computer glasses and reading glasses. Computer glasses are designed only to ease the stress your eyes undertake when working on a computer, so, consult your ophthalmologist to give you specially prescribed computer glasses and use your reading glasses when not working on the computer.

Studies suggest that most computer users experience some level of eye discomfort from working on the computer on a daily basis.
