Get Ready for Summer 2011 with Designer Sunglasses
Spring is already in full swing, and in a couple of months, you will be spending more time walking outdoors, by the pool, or on a beach. As summer fashion hits stores, now is the time to get prepared with the right outfits and the right looks. Designer sunglasses are essential summer accessories that everyone should have. Combining high-quality style with UV protection, designer sunglasses need to match your look.
The “look” for 2011 is classic eyewear: no more rhinestones, gaudy colors, or ornate embellishments. Both sexes, to play it safe, should consider going with neutral styles – black or metal – and sunglasses should complement your appearance – not be the center of it.
Celebrities recently have been spotted with classic shades by Ray-Ban, Persol, or Chanel – any designer that conveys neutral or effortless style. Clubmaster sunglasses, re-introduced by Ray-Ban at the end of 2008, actually appear to be the “it” look for summer. Like half-rim wayfarers, clubmaster sunglasses combine rounded and straight lines. A black pair matches any outfit, and a colored style can give your look a hint of individuality.
Clubmasters, however, are not the only style for women this summer. As long as the look is black, metal, or mock tortoise, you are good to go. Wayfarers, cat eye, and oversized sunglasses dominate the racks, and finding a style that fits your face is crucial. Wayfarers and cat eye sunglasses, with a combination of angles and rounded corners, compliment any face shape. Oversized, a staple style from the past decade, are ideal for those with square or oval-shaped faces.
A similar assortment of styles is expected to be in for men this year. The only difference, however, is the look. While black or mock tortoise blends into any outfit, mirrored or reflective lenses make a guy stand out. As part of any style, sunglasses with mirrored lenses are neutral enough to match any look but distinct enough to be stylish. No matter if you choose mirrored aviators, wayfarers, or clubmasters, make sure to keep your lenses in good condition. Scratches or dents on mirrored styles are more noticeable than on other designer sunglasses.
